A complaint will not affect your supports

Anyone can give feedback or complain, including a participant, family member, carer, advocate, worker or member of the community. You may complain anonymously and may use an advocate, interpreter or support person. Kindrel will not threaten, disadvantage or treat anyone unfairly for raising a concern.

What you can raise

You can contact us about any part of our support, communication, safety, privacy, worker conduct, invoicing or complaint handling. A complaint does not need to be written in formal language and you do not need to prove the concern before raising it.

How we will respond

  1. Acknowledge: We aim to confirm receipt within two business days if contact details are provided.
  2. Make things safe: Immediate safety, abuse, neglect or serious-risk concerns are assessed and escalated without delay.
  3. Listen and clarify: We will confirm the issue and the outcome you are seeking, involving the affected participant wherever possible.
  4. Review fairly: Relevant information will be considered objectively and anyone directly affected will have a fair chance to respond.
  5. Explain the outcome: We aim to resolve most complaints within 15 business days. If more time is needed, we will explain why and provide updates.
  6. Improve: Actions, outcomes and any service improvements will be recorded appropriately.
