What in-home support can include
In-home support is shaped around what the participant wants to do and the level of help they prefer. It can include:
- support with household routines and practical daily tasks;
- meal planning, preparation and grocery routines;
- organising spaces, laundry and light household tasks;
- prompts, structure and motivation for established routines; and
- practising skills that support greater day-to-day independence.
Respectful support at home
A participant's home is their space. Kindrel workers are expected to communicate clearly, protect privacy, follow agreed boundaries and encourage involvement rather than automatically doing everything for the person.
Funding and service area
In-home support is available in Ballarat and close surrounding areas for self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Suitability, worker fit, risks and availability are discussed before support begins.
