What community access can include
Community access is not a fixed activity program. Support is planned around the participant's interests, routines, goals, communication and preferred pace.
- social, recreational and community activities;
- appointments, errands and everyday tasks in the community;
- trying new activities and building confidence in unfamiliar places;
- practising community and travel skills where appropriate; and
- consistent one-to-one support focused on choice and participation.
How Kindrel approaches support
Trust and genuine fit come first. We listen, offer clear choices and support the person to direct their own day instead of taking over. Safety planning and the participant's existing support arrangements are followed throughout each service.
Funding and service area
Community access support is available in Ballarat and close surrounding areas for self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Availability is limited and each enquiry is considered individually.
